Sanders: Trump on right track with North Korea-WTF???

Bill

Malarkeyville

"North Korea is a real danger to this world, and we have got to do everything we can to ... prevent a nuclear war and to get them to stop their nuclear program," said Sanders, speaking with CNN's Chris Cuomo on "New Day."

"China has got to apply the screws and tell North Korea that if their economy is going to survive, they cannot continue expanding their nuclear arms program and their missile program," he added.
"China is, in fact, the key," Sanders continued. "People have been working on China for years. If Trump is doing that, he's doing the right thing."

The Trump administration's top diplomat, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, told National Public Radio on Thursday that the US would be willing to negotiate with Pyongyang, a statement at odds with recent comments to CNN by Vice President Mike Pence, who ruled out such a possibility in the near future.

It's a step other administrations have been reluctant to take, seeing it as an unwarranted reward for the regime's aggressive and belligerent behavior.

Does Hillary still want a war with Russia??????????????????????

Duh, yup

Sanders wife is being investigated by the FBI for fraud. Maybe he figures he should start to grease the skids now.....

Sanders never said trump is right to send 'an armada' to the region, leaving himself no out when N. Korea makes him look like the impotent old fool that he is. Sanders just agrees that diplomacy, or sanctions are the answer....as did Obama. China is in the best position to do so, but I don't see much hay being made.

I wonder what the over/under is on Seoul making it to 2020?

For the unaware .. Sanders is, has been, and always will be a war hawk.

His 'reputation' as some kind of peacenik is ridiculous.

Bernie Sanders Voting Record Antithetical To His Purported Anti-War Stance
In spite of claims of being antiwar, his “hawkish” support of Clinton’s military actions in the 1999 Kosovo War caused one of his advisers to quit. When antiwar activists occupied Sanders’ office in 1999 because of that support of Clinton’s war policies, he had them arrested.

there are really few good options in north korea. Its also complicated by the fact that the south koreans, japanese, and chinese are worth saving. I mean if the middle east goes up in flames who really cares? They were going to kill each other anyway this way they do it faster. The east asians could very well carry the flame of civilization in the future after the west has faded.

Yikes! That's some broad brush strokes there. Most North Koreans would probably prefer to not be under the thumb of a dictator. You know, the ones worth saving. Same thing goes for all the people in the middle east who want to exist peacefully.

Which one made you realize you were sold out more:

1. Hillary's cheating Bernie out of the nomination
2. Obama giving big money speeches on Wall Street
3. Bernie being a war hawk

Sanders never had much of a grasp on foreign policy- except interventionism ( and that's big) -
but give him credit here for the obvious

i think its been pretty much proven that the people in the middle east are incapable of living under anything but the most brutal dictatorships.

The north koreans, if they decided the kims needed killing, could have risen up yet you dont even hear a whiff of a revolt.

Interesting POV............ Did you rant about it on your blog??

While there may be some truth to that, they hardly would have an exclusive..... Not like they started any world wars or anything.:whome:

NK is a closed society where nothing much gets in or out, information wise.

So apart from the occasional defector it's hard to know what's going on there. There could be the occasional uprising and we'd never hear of it. The NK people may be in abject misery but think it's 'normal'. Many of them are brainwashed by Bowl Cut's propaganda so the outside world is going to get the blame for their circumstances.

Even with all of that, no doubt, there are people in NK who wish Bowl Cut dead. I doubt seriously anyone can get near him and/or there's the problem of weapons.

But if Bowl Cut should go down as result of this, Trump would score an historical foreign policy win. But he's playing high stakes poker.

a militry coupe is the way out.
The military in most countries is loyal to itself, and supporting the country -not any 1 regime.
China would have to allow it, but they might be getting there.

and a 1 and a 2....HA HA

A military coupe might get dear boy leader out, but a military coup de etat isn't in the offing there. Not from within. Even if it did happen, the next strongman would become leader of the cult. It will take decades to deprogram that population, and that will not take unless they are also given a good life while it happens.
