If that's not the case, then how come Republicans don't use homophobia in their propaganda anymore? They did when Bush was running for reelection, but with Trump, they avoided it.

This is about gay rights. Do you think of gays marry they lose their rights? There should be no discrimination. People should not go into a store and be told " we don't serve your kind here". They should not walk up to a counter and he turned away for acting as god made them. That is an insult nobody should have to put up with.

I think you're not understanding the difference between public and private. If I start a private club only for women with red hair, I can legally exclude everyone who doesn't fit, even if I charge money to join. If I open a business catering to the public but I will only serve female redheads, I can and should be sued for discrimination. It's no different than if you own an apartment building and advertise your rentals, but when prospective tenants show up you will only rent to male midgets from Asia -- or you build a gym and pool complex that is private, so you can legally exclude male midgets from Asia.

If you started a private company for white people, you can be sued for that too.
Now personally, I think all private companies should be allowed to discriminate. If we can't, then we don't have freedom of association. But even by your own example, we don't have freedom of association.

If your private company does business with the public, you fall under the anti-discrimination laws. As for not having freedom of association because you are a bigot and want to whine that you have to see people whose characteristics offend you, tough shit. Don't become a landlord or open a company that does business with the public. I agree that over time things have gotten out of whack with our drive to have as much equality as possible. I don't think, for example, that a private male-only gym or club should be forced to accept women. I don't think that the Girl Scouts should be forced to accept boys.
