As Russia’s war with Ukraine enters its second year, many of the nation’s higher ups are continuing to turn against President Vladimir Putin.
According to recent Kremlin leaks, Wagner Group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin has been discussing the possibly of removing the Russian leader from his post.
Olga Lautman revealed that Prgozhin’s private army, which Russia has become heavy reliant on, have been unhappy with the leadership believing there to be “little sign of success” in their war effort.
The Wagner Group spearheaded the assaults of key areas in Ukraine including Soledar, Popasna and Lysychansk. Some of the few wins Russia had been able to capitalize on.
The military group are hoping to utilize their recent successes to sweep the power of Moscow from under Putin.
