Many in Russia fear a "partial mobilization" of the military is the first step in a move that would see more and more men fight – and die – in Ukraine. Some have tried to escape and others have even dared to protest.Russian President Vladimir Putin made a rare televised address to the Russian people on Wednesday morning when he announced a"partial mobilization," saying the measure was needed to protect Russian people from what he called "the war machine of the collective West" in Ukraine.

I am beginning to better understand why Trump and this other asshole, Putin, got along so well! Neither gives a shit about his country. For both, it is all about self.

Putin is caught between a rock and a hard place, and Putin is desperate.

What Trump's lavish praise of Putin reveals

Given the chance, former President Donald Trump took the headline-grabbing route and declared Russian leader Vladimir Putin "very savvy" and his decision to roll his army into separatist-held parts of Ukraine "genius."

It's hard to know if the former President could have said anything more disturbing as Russia bullies a much smaller country. But it's certain that as he sided with America's opponent, he was being true to himself.

He's getting his ass kicked and he's bluffing about using nukes. He's done. I hope the Ukrainians take back Crimea too and make Putin eat shit. Fuck him.

Putin is caught between a rock and a hard place, and Putin is desperate.

I don't think so, all these reports about he's in trouble, the Russians are protesting, are all Western narratives, doubtful the Russian public even knows what is really happening, he's an autocrat in full control of what the people see and hear

Concurrently, he's not desperate, he's only used a small fraction of Russia's potential, he is willing to make it a war of attrition, drag it on for years, which doesn't sit well for the Ukrainians

Hope I am wrong, but I don't believe so
