Russia has roundly rejected reports its projectile crossed into Poland, which neighbors Ukraine, the site of an ongoing Russian military operation.

On Tuesday, the Associated Press cited local Polish media outlets as claiming that two people had "died" earlier in the day after "a projectile struck an area where grain was drying in Przewodów, a Polish village near the border with Ukraine."

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Telegram, "Statements by Polish media and officials about Russian missiles hitting Polish territory are a deliberate provocation aimed at escalating the situation."

Meanwhile, the Russian ministry of defense dismissed the reports too, saying, "Russian firepower has launched no strikes at the area between [the] Ukrainian-Polish border."

"The wreckage published by Polish mass media from the scene in Przewodow have no relation to Russian firepower," it added.

You'd be wise to consider that there are NO lengths to which the Azov Nazis wouldn't go in order to involve NATO.

Ah, did you expect them to step up and openly admit they purposely sent a missile into Poland?

Most likely an error, but it appears they did do it

And why would the Ukrainians, who currently have the Russians on their heels, now at this time decide it would be to their advantage to stage a Russian attack on Poland

Silly me- fancy not believing that the Russians would risk nuclear war by attacking a Polish grain silo.

You can be quite clear that there will be NO Western objective coverage of this accusation.

The Ukrainians do not have the Russians ' on their heels'. The Ukrainians, at best, are the dog that caught the car.

You don't believe that the Zelenskies would off a couple of Poles and a tractor in order to save their own asses ?

As I said, probably an error, using all those Iranian weapons now so can’t imagine the Iranians built in accurate guiding systems

Well, I don’t see the Russians advancing, rather retreating seems more accurate, and given the military capability Russia has, well, at least most thought they had, it ain’t a winning image

According to reports the Russians are dug in with almost unassailable defenses, striking anywhere in Ukraine at will- and winter is affecting a Ukraine with no civil infrastructure. That doesn't align with ' losing ' to me.

My interest in this was always to avoid war. Now it's to avoid nuclear war. I'm now wondering just how stupid the buglers can be.

The fall of a Ukrainian 5V55 S-300 SAM missile near the town of Hrubieshu in Poland once again confirmed reports of problems with these missiles. The video shows the recent launch of a Ukrainian missile of the S-300 air defense system. The rocket flies a little and the rocket's solid fuel explodes, this can be seen from the characteristic explosion that occurs in such cases. The fact is that the shelf life of S-300 air defense missiles is 20 years. The last Ukrainian missiles were fired in 1990, then they simply tried to extend their shelf life at the Zhulyansk machine-building plant "Vizar". It turns out that the shelf life of Ukrainian S-300 air defense missiles has already been exceeded by almost 13 years, so the number of cases of their self-destruction and incorrect operation will grow every day. The problem with missiles is also relevant for the Buk-M1 air defense system of Ukraine, there have already been cases of their incorrect operation.

That appears to be the case.

Can we now reject Zelensky's latest rhetoric attempt to drag us into WW3 ?

Sure enough, the NATO conclusion is that the Zelenskies killing of two Polish farmers is Russia's fault.

Haw, haw...........................haw.

I am just going to point out that IR is the Iranian country domain code; this is the truth according to an Iranian news source.

That just won't do, Walt. My thread/link is not presented as fact. Your claim that Russians machine-gunned a musician for not playing for them IS presented as fact- when it rightly belongs in maggot-world.

Haw, haw...................haw.

Also, the Russian were not responsible for the missile- so the opinion reported by the Iranians was correct.

Where's your condemnation of those who stated that it was the Russians' doing ?

My news source is The Economist, which is a 179 year old conservative British magazine which is world renowned for getting stories right.

Your news source is a webpage I never heard from in Iran. You say you cannot present it as fact, just as a claim from a news source I have never heard of... That is in Iran. How would you rate the press freedom in Iran? I believe the Iranians keep very tight reigns on what the official news sources can, and can not say. I also believe that tight reign does not encourage accurate, or truthful reporting.

The reputable news sources are closing in on the truth about the explosion in Poland. It is not the truth that anyone wants, which makes me think it is the truth. What do the Iranian news sources say? Why should anyone care.

No Walt- you stated AS FACT a story from the ' Ukrainian ministry ' I linked to a Russian denial of responsibility for the missile- which has been confirmed by the US and the Poles.

I put it to you that I am closer to the spirit of journalism and that you are a rabble-rouser. Even your own Economist headline carries the proviso ' probably '. You have turned a ' probably ' into a ' definitely '.
Gumshoe you ain't.

The Economist mentions no "Ukrainian ministry." You may have found another source that goes back to a Ukrainian ministry, but that is your source, not mine.

There is less definiteness from a legitimate news source than from an Iranian propaganda site. The Iranians are willing to lie, so have no problem definitely lying.

I linked to my source- the Wiki coverage of your story.
Again- you have turned the Economist's ' probably ' into Walt's ' definitely '. It isn't ' definite ' - particularly as the story came from ' the Ukrainian ministry '.

Secondly, the Iranian source isn't ' lying '. It is reporting what the Russians said about the missile.
To associate anything Russian or Iranian, or indeed Palestinian with lies is a result of your brainwashing. Doubting, on the other hand, is acceptable. At least that would show signs of independent life.
