It’s all the fault of Black Lives Matter. This uncivil war that has broken out. This slaughtering of blacks and whites, cops and civilians, civilians and cops around the country. Instead of laying off their ugly rhetoric while too many families were trying to heal from last week’s horrific violence and death, has-been and should-be has-been right-wing politicians took to social media and TV to spew their hate and point their trigger fingers at those trying to heal the hate...

But we New Yorkers bear a special shame today after the hatred spewed by our loathsome former mayor, Rudy Giuliani, who blamed black children. “Let’s teach everyone including the children of the black community that most of those police officers are the reason you’re alive,” he said on MSNBC. “Because the real danger to you is that black kid who is going to shoot you on the street.”

Then, he shamelessly added, “My father taught me that, when a police officer tells you something, do what he says.” Dad must have learned this after he went to Sing Sing for armed robbery. (“Rudy! An Investigative Biography of Rudolph W. Giuliani,”’ by Wayne Barrett).

Not one of these jerks brought up the fact that thanks to the NRA and the pols they buy, there are more guns than humans in this country and the gap is increasing daily. The right to bear arms has overtaken the right to free assembly in the USA of the NRA. We are becoming our own terrorists.

Why are you ignoring the point that the ghoul says we should be afraid of black children?

After El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen called Black Lives Matter a "radical hate group," 13 area leaders called on the mayor and city council to repudiate his comments. Late Saturday, several state officials and local groups issued a letter calling for El Paso Mayor Oscar Leeser and the city council representatives to "publicly repudiate the statement, forcefully and unequivocally."

"This statement, in the chief’s official capacity and in uniform, sends exactly the wrong message at a time when good people are working to address a crisis of violence and distrust that disproportionately affects minority communities," the letter read in part.

I wouldn't of phrased it the way Rudy did but factually he is accurate in saying a young black male is more likely to be killed by another young black male than by a police officer. I don't think stating those facts means Rudy is saying we need to fear black children.

He addressed it to "everyone, including black children." The only way I read that is that "everyone" has to fear being killed by a black kid in the street.

Would be nice to see his full statement. Pretty clear the author isn't hiding his biases so I wouldn't be surprised if they left something out purposefully

He was on a TV show, Face the Nation. If I can find a transcript I'll post from it. But this isn't the first time he's made provocative comments.

Rudy Giuliani: Cops Exist to Stop Black People From Killing Each Other

On an episode of NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday morning, former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani made some egregiously misplaced statements regarding the disproportionately heavy population of white police officers in black communities. Instead of focusing on the issue at hand, Giuliani went on to lament black-on-black violence. Ah, false equivalencies!
Giuliani begins by saying that NYC mayors have gone out of their way to make sure the city police force is proportionate and that he thinks that they have done a pretty good—but not perfect—job in doing that. Then he drops this:
"The fact is that I find it very disappointing that you're not discussing the fact that 93% of blacks in America are killed by other blacks. We are talking about the significant exemption here."

On the show with Giuliani was Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson, who gets into it with Giuliani by saying: "Black people who kill black people go to jail. White people who are policemen who kill black people do not go to jail."

Dyson goes on to say that white police officers shooting black Americans "has exacerbated tensions that are deeply embedded in American culture." But this only instigates Giuliani to remark that, "White police officers wouldn't be there if you weren't killing each other."

So you are saying that 5 cops were just killed at a Black Lives Matter protest, and this is AOK with you. Your position is noted.

I think it's faired to say Rudi was 'Trumped' lol.

Let’s teach everyone including the children of the black community that most of those police officers are the reason you’re alive......Because the real danger to you is that black kid who is going to shoot you on the street

why are you denying its true?......because it makes your liberal heart bleed?........certainly it isn't because you are rational....

He addressed it to "everyone, including black children." The only way I read that is that "everyone" has to fear being killed by a black kid in the street.

which is a greater risk statistically....being killed by a police officer or being killed on the street by a black kid?......and an even higher risk of being killed on the street by someone who ISN'T a police officer......
