Rove: Palin lacks gravitas

If Sarah Palin is looking for a top political strategist to help navigate the waters of her political future, Karl Rove may not be the guy.

The former top Bush aide says the former Alaska governor has not proven to have the “gravitas” to sit in the Oval Office – and, says Rove, her upcoming reality television show is only going to make things worse.

“With all due candor, appearing on your own reality show on the Discovery Channel, I am not certain how that fits in the American calculus of 'that helps me see you in the Oval Office,’”

Palin will have to look the word up to find out what he is talking about!

Her reality show, is there any reality in her life right now, seems like the ultimate fairy tale to me!

She's said a lot of dopey things but the one that really made me pause was when McCain called and asked her to consider becoming his veep and her response was: "I answered him yes, because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink. So I didn't blink then even when asked to run as his running mate," she said.

Complete egomania! Anybody cooking on all four burners would pause, maybe even gasp, at being extended such an honor but not our Sarah.

Let's be honest what kind of ego does it take to think you are most qualified or best person to essentially be the leader of the free world?

So we should look to Karl Rove, The Architect, the man most responsible for molding the Bush strategy, which ultimately culminated in giving us Barack Obama and a Congress full of Democrat Socialists? We should listen to him, right??? Because, he would obviously know best about what the Republican party needs, correct? Is that what I am hearing?

Look.. Rove is part of the Beltway Establishment Elite... He is part of the Mike Castle/John McCain/ CFR/ PillBill/ Compassionate Conservative/ RINO Republican wing. He doesn't like Sarah Palin, Christine O'Donnell, Michelle Bachman, Star Parker, or the TEA Party, and he is doing what Karl Rove does, to ensure they don't win power. We're all used to pinhead liberals bashing Conservatives, just think of Rove as part of the Pinhead Brigade now, because that is where he is.

As we near 2012, numerous candidates will toss their hats in the ring for the GOP nomination, they will make speeches and campaign appearances, they will have debates and develop individual platforms and messages, and the Republican voters will ultimately decide who they want to run against Obama in 2012. It's way too early to be counting Palin out OR in! We're going to have to wait and see what develops over the next two years. Maybe the Karl Rove Moderates are right, maybe Palin lacks gravitas, but maybe the Karl Rove's are wrong, maybe they will become the marginalized voices in the party?

hes right.. many wont vote for her if shes up against obama. Personally I would abstain. If the republicans are smart they will send up Romney. Palan is no different then Obama in my opinion.

He's just jealous cause Palin is hot and well...I've heard of getting beat with the ugly stick but the whole fucking tree fell on Rove!

The first thought I would have is, "I know he's going to lose so I won't be the VP, but this might get my name out there. Wow!"

Yeah, I'd pause. Especially being an unknown. However, even I knew more about foreign policy than she did.

Sarah will be on TLC and Alaska is a beautiful if backward place, I was there for eighteen months. The scenery will be interesting, we hiked and hunted those hills and valleys often. Dog sled rides at 30 below is something everyone should do once in their life. It will be interesting seeing how the republicans will counter her ambition, she does something no one thought possible, she makes Bush Jr look smart. Reagan had astrologers, she can bring the witch doctor should make for interesting theater.

Palin has no chance of running. Iquitarod! No way she even get close to the nomination. She might try running, but there's no way she'll be the presidental candidate. And if that does happen-- and even I pray it doesn't-- there will be a democrat in office because Palin will never even come close to winning.

I know you liberals think she has support, but I assure you, she doesn't have anywhere close to the support she would need.

It would be the dumbest thing ever to turn to Sarah for 2012.

Best bet is going to be someone coherent.

Gary Johnson for President! http://ouramericainitiative.com/ He cut taxes in New Mexico almost every year of his 8. He is the only 2 term Republican in my 44 years as a citizen of New Mexico. He cut 1,200 jobs from government payrolls and never fired a single person. When Bill Richardson took over in 2000 he inherited a budget surplus. Gary is Libertarian.

From the website:

Civil Liberties

The government should protect the value of individuals and their civil liberties. The government should not intervene in the private lives of individual citizens unnecessarily. Personal liberty and freedom from unwarranted governmental control or regulation should allow law abiding individuals to pursue their own desires as long as they are not causing harm to other people. There should be “less government, greater liberty and lasting prosperity for America.”

Governor Johnson does support gay and civil unions. However, he does not support gay marriage.

Drugs

We advocate a “Don’t do Drugs” policy. Drugs can be harmful, addictive and destructive to our lives and society. The current war on drugs, however, has not been successful. Crime, economic problems and abuse related to drug usage are still very present. We believe there needs to be a new direction in fighting these problems. The Our America Initiative believes that one of the best solutions to help with the many problems caused by drugs is to legalize marijuana. We do not advocate the legalization of any other drugs and believe that harm reduction measures should be implemented.

Environment

America needs to be a land with a clean environment. We support clean-air and clean-water action and believe in conservationism. The Initiative does not support “cap and trade” policies as they are currently formulated.

Immigration

His position on immigration is just too long to cut and paste here. Go to the website.

Constitution

We believe that the Constitution should be interpreted according to its original meaning. After great deliberation, the Founders clearly based the blueprint for our government on the fundamental idea that there must be strict constraints on Federal power — an idea from which we have strayed much too far. We believe that the proper balance needs to be restored between the different branches of government. This includes the rights of states.

Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve Bank needs to be reviewed and managed effectively. The actions of the Federal Reserve should be transparent. Congress should take a close look at how the Federal Reserve Bank is operated and regulated. If changes need to be made within the Federal Reserve Bank, they should be made.

Economy

GARY JOHNSON’S THREE POINT PLAN FOR ECONOMIC PROSPERITY

Free markets and limited government are the foundation of prosperity. Economic policy should foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and individual choice, not direct economic activity to satisfy political interests in Washington. Americans should be free to make their own economic decisions because individuals, not government, know what is best for themselves and their families. This freedom unleashes the creativity and enterprising spirit that fuels economic opportunity and an equal playing field for all Americans. (Go to the website and see the whole thing. Most of you will like it.)

Defense and the Middle East War

It is important to have a strong defense both at home and abroad. We are each grateful and appreciate those that are involved with our nation’s military.

The United States should be protected from terrorism and those that attack America should be brought to justice quickly and efficiently. The United States should be proactive in such matters.

The United State should only be involved in just causes and should not engage in or risk military action except when needed to protect it’s specific interests. All defense budgets should be reviewed and balanced the same as any other governmental budget.

Gary Johnson opposed the war in Iraq as Governor of New Mexico and believes that the United States should withdraw our troops from both Iraq and Afghanistan as soon as effectively possible, believing that neither country poses a current threat to the US.

The United States should not be borrowing money to build roads, bridges, schools and other infrastructure in foreign countries, especially when such help is currently needed at home. Non-military foreign aid around the world is something we can not currently afford.

Governor Johnson supports the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign country and believes that the United States should protect that right militarily if needed.

JUST GO TO THE WEBSITE. This is a true Libertarian conservative. I don't agree with everything he advocates, but I agree with 70 to 80% of it. I am no longer going to rule out good because it isn't perfect. I want a president that truly wants a smaller government with less interference all around. Hopefully if the federal government can do that then States will take the hint and start doing that also.

Why isn't that pompous ass Rove not in jail? Oops I forgot, Royalty does not go to jail in this country.

A mormon and a libertairan! is that all you have? LOL!!

The reason the criminal Rove and Faux news don't want Palin to run is because the Republicon party won't back her and if she run's it will split the Rep. vote.

More like this:

She's too damn stupid to trust to implement the globalists' deeds without revealing the puppet masters.
