How can this nation endure another 41 months of this man? (Indeed?!!)

We have endured Donald Trump for 7 months. Although he has had few legislative victories, he has almost single-handedly destroyed the moral authority of the presidency of the United States at home and abroad, brought us to the brink of a nuclear war without consulting anyone, and sown division and hatred.

He has given encouragement and legitimacy to the ugliest in America.

How can this nation endure another 41 months of this man?

We can’t wait for Robert Mueller’s evidence of Russian collusion. Even if Mueller finds that some of Trump’s aides colluded, Mueller might well find that Trump had “plausible deniability.” Top guns often arrange wrongdoing so the they can plausibly deny they knew it was occurring. That’s the art of the deal.

Let’s be clear. There is already enough evidence to impeach Trump on grounds of abuse of power, obstruction of justice, and violation of the emoluments clause of the Constitution.

There is already enough evidence of mental impairment to invoke the 25th amendment.

I know, Republicans are in control of Congress. But this is no license for Trump to destroy the nation we love.

I know, removing Trump would mean having Mike Pence as president. But a principled right-winger is better for America and the world than an unhinged sociopath.

Republican as well as Democratic members of the House and Senate must commit themselves to removing this president.

Those of you represented by Democrats in the House or Senate must get their commitment to remove him, as soon as possible.

Those of you represented by Republicans in the House or Senate must let them know that you will campaign vigorously against them in 2018 unless they commit to removing Trump as well.

It is time to end this disgrace.

Somebody should tell you that they are working because of OBAMA'S policies that are following on the same course as they were when he left office.

The Washington Post has a piece which tells us that this looks a lot like the Obama economy. Which it is of course, that's how economies work. They're vast things, the American one especially, the complex interaction of 320 million people just isn't something which turns on a dime. Don't forget, even when the recession broke that took some time, it didn't happen overnight nor even within just the one month or two. Fortunately the WaPo does point this out before going off to talk about how job creation rates and so on are very much the same as they have been for a few years now. All entirely correct:

More people working is certainly good news. But if Trump’s tweet suggests that this month’s report is uniquely good news — a word of warning. So far, Trump’s economy looks an awful lot like that of his predecessor, Barack Obama.
No kidding, right? It’s only been six months, and the U.S. economy turns a lot more slowly than that outside moments of crisis.

Even moments of crisis aren't moments. But we can and should go further than this is two ways. The first is that Trump hasn't particularly done anything yet which is going to affect the economy in a major manner. Sure, he talked about big tax cuts and a big infrastructure program and that's what fuelled the Trump Trade. Both, especially together, would have been stimulatory so stocks went up. Hurrah! But that's not the economy itself, that's people making guesses, possibly even bets, about the way the economy will go. The actual economy itself, GDP, the number of people working, hasn't changed in any appreciable manner. Both are growing much as they did before the election.

Well then, if Obamas main policy, the ACA is working, why are there so many uninsured Americans and why are the democrats begging for the GOP to enact Trumpcare?

Republicans are idiots on healthcare. Even Trump campaigned on virtually universal care. Until we have universal care, lamocare is here to stay.

This has far less to do with republicans .. because they would have repealed it if they could .. has FAR more to do with 2018 and the American people wouldn't let them repeal or replace it.

The GOP will not repeal Oboobcare until 2019, just in time for 2020................The fact is that failing Oboobcare is the best campaign platform possible for the GOP in both 18 and 20.................

Which is why they will not repeal it until then
