The little-known meeting - between some of America's biggest industrial players and a PR genius - forged a devastatingly successful strategy that endured for years, and the consequences of which are all around us.

"I think it's the moral equivalent of a war crime," says former US Vice-President Al Gore of the big oil companies' efforts to block action.

"I think it is, in many ways, the most serious crime of the post-World War Two era, anywhere in the world. The consequences of what they've done are just almost unimaginable."

No, people wanting the use of nuclear have it right. It's the idiots on the radical Left of environmentalism that have it wrong. You can't power modern society on sunshine and whirligigs. In fact, nuclear done right is better for the entirety of the environment too.

Of course, I count you in the radical Leftist category as being just another empty-headed liberal arts major who knows nothing factual about nuclear power or things nuclear.

I'm a citizen that objects to you conditioned 'growth ' freaks fucking up my environment. Nuclear is deadly. Far better to do without the crap that you want nuclear to power.
