The article was using Sweden as an example of a nation that quickly adopted massive stimulus policies during the thirties, and never backed down (unlike FDR), and the positive things that resulted from it. It's a history lesson FOR Republicans, to show why he believes that the ideas they currently believe in implementing are inneffective. If you would've read it, instead of jumping in and writing something that has nothing to do with the topic, you'd understand that.
