WASHINGTON – Republican lawmakers and potential 2024 presidential candidates are rallying behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, days after U.S. President Joe Biden’s rebuke of the Israeli leader marked a new height for U.S.-Israeli tensions.
The various statements represent what has become an axiom in both the GOP and U.S. politics at large during Netanyahu’s career. The prime minister and his allies – notably Israel's former ambassador in Washington, Ron Dermer – have stressed the importance of evangelical support as U.S. Jews have grown increasingly critical of Israel’s rightward shift.

Nothing could be better for America than having the Democrats openly oppose Israeli criminality, defund Israel and force the Israeli fascists to conform to international law through the UN Security Council. Let the Republicans continue to be the party that supports fascist Israel, let them be associated with fascism and insane Evangelical religious dogma. Highlight the schism, applaud the split , isolate the GOP on the far side side of the chasm which ALREADY divides America , the intelligent, the decent, the humane versus the backward, the indecent, the inhumane.
Now is NOT the time for Biden to keep silent, to try to keep a foot in both camps. Abandon Israeli fascism , let it shrivel- and the fascism-honking Republicans along with it.
DECENT ISRAELIS AGREE !! Crush Netanyahu and his thugs NOW as the golden opportunity presents itself- or let the fascist Republicans get both him and Trump off the hook.
