How ironic then, when candidate Trump's wife Melania made a televised campaign address, the speech she chose to plagiarize was from none other than Michelle Obama. Some passages were plagiarized word for word.
We might wish to dismiss that as a fluke. Melania seems to be a lovely woman with grace and charm. English is quite likely not her native tongue. Perhaps it was her speech-writer that let her down.
But just this week Trump's nominee for Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos got a senate hearing.
NBC-TV News reports WaPo reports Ms DeVos questionnaire appears to include passages from uncited sources, including that from an Obama administration official's own press release.
What's the explanation for this?
Wasn't the whole idea behind voting for Trump that he'd "drain the swamp", that President Trump would shake up Washington DC and change things for the better?
Some Republicans said voting for Hillary would have been the practical equivalent of voting for four more years of Obama.
But if Obama is so bad, why are the Republicans copying the Obama's word for word?
Is it remotely possible Obama wasn't really that bad after all? "Where's the beef"?
