A House Republican attempt to remove Ilhan Omar from the foreign affairs committee, expected as soon as Wednesday, is about “vengeance” and “spite”, one of the Minnesotan’s fellow Democrats said.

“This is about vengeance. This is about spite. This is about politics,” said James McGovern of Massachusetts, the top Democrat on the rules committee, as Republicans called a hurried meeting late on Tuesday to consider the matter.

Sounds like good enough reasons to me. Did she just get reelected? We should put a counter terrorism unit in her district.
 
Well, if members of Congress were required to actually have some knowledge about whatever the committee they are on is about, there'd be no committees in Congress...

You would be surprised how hard many pols study their committee's workings. They learn on the job and many are very good at questioning and procedures. Not MTG types and Gym Jordan, they are grandstanders who are just getting more TV face time.
