Russia delivers 'massive strikes' on Ukraine as Kiev pushes to retake all occupied territories

Russia says its forces were carrying out "massive strikes" on Ukrainian armed forces from all operational directions across the Ukrainian front line, as Kiev said it was prepared to liberate all of its territory while calling on the West to speed up the deliveries of weapons systems to the county.

"Air, rocket and artillery forces are carrying out massive strikes on units of the Ukrainian armed forces in all operational directions," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

High-precision strikes were launched on Ukrainian positions around Sloviansk and Konstantinovka in the eastern Donetsk region, it added.

Moscow raised concerns about THE civilians who are trapped in territories recaptured by Keiv's army, and who according to Moscow are being abused by Ukrainian soldiers.

President Vladimir Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov said that reports were emerging of "outrageous" treatment of civilians in the Kharkiv region.

"There are a lot of punitive measures... people are being tortured, people are being mistreated and so on," Peskov told journalists.

The Russian MOD stated on Saturday that more than 2,000 Ukrainian fighters were killed near Balakleya and Izyum in the previous three days alone. For sure, a few thousand more troops would have suffered injuries too. Considering that a 15000-strong Ukrainian force is estimated to be involved in the entire Kharkov operation, that is a very heavy loss. Over time, Kiev may have little to celebrate about.

Which - clearly - he is not.
Else he would NEVER have invaded Ukraine proper.

He would (imo), pull all his troops back to the Donbas.
And concentrate on securing Donetsk Oblast.
To go along with already securing, Luhansk Oblast.
And if he can secure that territory?
Declare the campaign over.

Freeing these two Oblasts from continuing, Kiev attacks was supposedly the main (official) point of the invasion, in the first place.
After all, in 2014, both regions (along with Crimea) voted over 80% to leave Ukraine.
