and everything else to encourage and offer hope to people caught in a natural disaster?

Seems now we got a leader of the Nation who finds it more important to take time to fabricate phony issues and launch personal political attacks against others, not quite Jeffersonian

Why was Puerto Rico so unprepared? Hurricanes aren’t new

Let’s see

Florida and Texas hit just as hard as Puerto Rico

What is the difference? Democrats in charge on the ground in Puerto Rico just like New Orleans

Helpless dark people begging for a handout from white people. Ironic isn’t it?

Why isn’t that socialist utopia Cuba helping with their awesome socialized medicine I hear so much about?

I'd say a few tons of tangible hope has already arrived with more to come.

The whining on here is deafening.
Probably as kids they whined until mommy bought them the candy bar.
Then whined because there weren't 2 of them.
Then whined because there was no ice cream with it.
Then whined because they got chocolate all over their face and wanted mommy to wipe it off.

Seriously? When was the last time Pareto Rico felt the brunt of a class 5 hurricane?

If you had watched something else besides Fox, you'd know that this class 5 hurricane unlike Florida and Texas, completely destroyed the island's infrastructure, something even General Buchanan recognized Friday needed additional attention

Your racial component is inane, not to mention that people living in Puerto Rico are Americans, not Cubans

And lastly, as a supporter of the President, blaming the locals just adds to what I said, when was the last time a President's supporters didn't rise above politics in time of a national disaster, before this President, never, says it all

Week later, and their still finding they need additional support

Well, then if there's no blame, quit blaming the Prez.
People blindly and early on blaming the Prez.
Now the facts are coming to the surface and locals are inept at organization and procedure as it applies to pre & post hurricane BASIC care for their residents until the big guns come in.

Of course they do and it's coming, more and more now just as in any hurricane. Same basic routine for all 5 of the storms I've been through. Local gub was just ill-prepared with BASIC immediate care for the 1st week...that's on them.

First of all it is a Category 5 not Class 5

Secondly so with all of their infrastructure in place, zero power, no roads you are bitching about Trumps response.

Seems to me Puerto Rico knows they are in the bulls eye of any hurricane. They should have been prepared. I know I am prepared for just such a disaster. Are you?

Puerto Rico seems to be an inept island.
The electric company rips off the people, instead of hardening their infrastructure. The government is corrupt and bankrupt.

No, anchovies, I don't remember a time when presidents rose above politics.

Do you?

As to the rest of your screeching screed, you keep claiming there's a fabrication of "phony issues". Where's your proof?

Nut up and put up. I'll understand if you can't.

Local gub is like roaches scattering when you shine a flashlight on them in a kitchen corner. More of their corruption is being exposed now day by day.

Maria made landfall as a category 4. PR is in the crosshairs of any hurricane so they should be more prepared than anyone else.

Put simply, the govt was ill-prepared unlike Tx and Fl.

I keep telling people - accept nothing a liberal posts at face value. They are usually making shit up, lying, or don't understand what they posted.

I just caught anchovies.

Never trust a liberal. Never, ever.

I don't know, and neither do you, anchovies, because there's no such thing as a "class 5 hurricane". The island is Puerto Rico, anchovies. You're full of stupidity.

Get your mommy to read the big words to you, anchovies.

BTW, Maria was a Category 4 when it made landfall, anchovies.

Why must you lie, anchovies?

So now your telling us every time a natural disaster hit anywhere whoever was President took the opportunity to play politics with the disaster? Not true of any of the Presidents I've lived thru, show us a couple of examples to support your claim

And the second part is even more absurd, week one of the NFL season less than six players took a knee, Kap was out of the league, and it was a dead issue if an issue at all. Enter the President, needing a diversion from his disasterous week, makes it an issue, mixing race and patriotism on the right is a always a winner. The President created the controversy, you really have to be drunk on kool aid not to see it
