Remember... Stop gaps are TEMPORARY...

The 15 billion jobs bill obviously wasn't even approaching enough, and the stimulus wears off too soon. With a bill so small, I really don't even see the point. I mean, every little bit helps. But there comes a point at which it becomes obvious they're just passing more to increase their political fortunes by saying "Yes! I passed a jobs bill!" than actually trying to improve the economy.

It's like Krugman's argument against the senate version of financial "reform": it really does nothing to prevent disasters like what happened in 2008, but puts people at ease about them. The jobs bill should've been AT LEAST ten times the size that was proposed.

That is what the first stimulus jobs bill should have been used for... at least the remaining portions of it.

I have some agreement with that. With more heavy emphasis on credits for hiring and maintaining jobs in the private sector. Making windows will never replace the jobs we chased out of here, and in order to gain back what we have lost we'll need to gain almost 500,000 jobs per month for 2 to 3 years.

The first stimulus sucked as it was aimed wrongly, spread to thinly, and didn't do enough to get tinder under a new economic campfire.

Only Obama can create the jobs we desperately need, but Conservatards oppose his administration for a good reason - they're fucking racists.
