which of these is "organic"....
which of these could not be replicated with more efficient mechanical farming methods.......
which of these could not be replicated with GM seeds.....

this system has nothing to do with organic farming, it has nothing to do with modified seeds, it has nothing to do with efficiency......

You are making assumptions and fabricating strawmen. I don't give a fuck about organic farming. You and the other retard had a knee jerk reaction to that label which I suspected some of you conservatives would.

I like what works but I am not an idiot like you and understand that external costs are a COST. They certainly should be a part of any calculations of a efficiency at the macro level. If these poor farmers can produce more, at lower costs to themselves and with less external costs to others, then that is great!

I don't see why they could not use pesticides with these SRI methods but they did not. So how is this not an example of organic farming? However, using pesticides would increase some of their costs, might defeat the value to them and would also reduce the use of "green manure" (i.e., if you read further you would know they let the rotting weeds act as fertilizer).

Would the methods used by the farmer who produced record crops qualify as organic?

So because this example did not use machines no machines can be used?

I won't argue the semantics of organic or whatever. My point all along has been that the agricultural industry has focused on yield and ignored the effects of the chemicals, methods and genetic modifications.

????....no, because machines were used and increased manpower would be required, it is less efficient......that, rather than what you just pretended, is what I claimed and continue to argue.....and if that isn't obvious to you yet there's no reason for you to continue to argue the point.......

Your argument is desperate and pathetic. The Sri methods seem to qualify as organic. They don't use manufactured pesticides, herbicide or modified seeds. They could alter the techniques to do so but they did not and still achieved record crops.

the four parts of the SRI method of farming were listed in your link above....pesticide use was not addressed......none of the parts had anything to do with organic farming.....you are simply ignoring that and saying "it seems to qualify as organic"......I suppose that might be true if you pretend hard enough.....not a very effective argument, though......

Yeah, as I noted this specific instance qualifies as organic. There is no need to pretend. Since you fail to add anything new this is becoming redundant and boring.
