evidence of perjury in 1996 which BEGAN the investigation.........investigation in 2017 which has found to evidence.....you're right......no big deal.......

There’s a diversity of legal opinion about whether Trump obstructed. I think it’s pretty shaky because his choice of words were too ambiguous and good defense lawyer should have no problem placing sufficient doubt in a juries mind over it.

I’ll grant this though: obstruction of justice is the one concrete, palpable ‘thing’ lol, that you might have on Trump. The rest of it is a ridiculous assortment of smoke and mirrors. I marvel that so many people have gotten sucked into it.

Excuse me, but it's your side who keeps on bringing up the word collusion so you can harp endlessly about how there's no evidence of it.

Even though you don't really know what evidence Mueller does or doesn't have.

As for obstruction, if Comey testifies that he felt strongly that Trump was trying to get him to drop the investigation into Flynn, it will be very hard to ignore.

Public opinion as the election is approaching will drive how the Repugnants in Congress decide to handle it.

Comey’s reliability as a witness is something less than stellar. I doubt Mueller is in a rush to have him cross examed by a hostile defense lawyer.

But as it sits, obstruction is your best shot at Trump. Or maybe Mueller will come up with something substantive, finally. As you continue to hope.
 
Comey said former attorney general Loretta Lynch's private meeting with Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac was the last straw that convinced him he had to come forward.
The FBI ultimately did not recommend criminal charges against Mrs. Clinton, who was running for president against Donald Trump at the time.
But Comey's public statements spelled the beginning of the end for her White House ambitions.
That tarmac meeting, which raised suspicions of collusion, influenced him 'in an ultimately conclusive way,' Comey testified.

'That was the thing that capped it for me, that I had to do something separately to protect the credibility of the investigation,' he said.
He added later that Lynch had asked him not to use the term 'investigation' in connection to the Clinton probe, which wasn't accurate. 'At one point the attorney general directed me not to call it an 'investigation' but instead to call it a 'matter,' which confused me and concerned me.'
'That was one of the bricks in the load that lead me to conclude I have to step away from the (Justice) department if we are to close this case credibly,' Comey testified.
