Lindsay Graham wants to raise the pilot retirement age from 65 to 67. It was 60 back in 2007, iirc. And air traffic controllers retire at 56.

I'm in my mid-60's have never been more competent or alert. My reflexes are fine. If the 67 year-old pilots pass their competency exams each year, I'd trust them more than a kid flying my aircraft!

He's also poorly educated...so I don't know if it's the dementia or the lack of education that is the primary problem.

Example: he's too fucking ignorant to realize that all airline pilots have to pass an FAA medical exam. Either they are fit to fly or they aren't. Arbitrary age restricts are based on ageism and pilot unions, not medical reasons.

I believe a person's fitness to do a job should be based upon their fitness to do it, not some asshole who doesn't know shit about flying.
