The Obama administration will begin to tap federal retiree programs to help fund operations after the government lost its ability Monday to borrow more money from the public, adding urgency to efforts in Washington to fashion a compromise over the debt.


Well, I guess its no surprise.....only gullible idiots would think Obama would make a serious attempt to cut spending.....

Corporations have been doing that to their employees for years now. I bet Pavo would be calling a bunch of socialist commies when it happens to us but he's on a government pension so it's a diffent ball game when it's his money. lol

Really.....Corporations have been doing this to their employees for almost 30 years now. If it's ok for them to do it why isn't it ok for the government to do it and if not, why are you just complaining about it now?
 
Corporations MUST, BY LAW, fund their pension programs to the tune of 125%, at least my company did......just keep working, fool, I'm starting to enjoy that SS check...

Yea? Then how comes so many of them who go belly up raid their pension funds first and the Feds let them get away with it.

is it contractually set up as a trust in which the corpus cannot be invaded? i love how this becomes "they do it too"....who the fuck cares about corps here...we are talking about the government. and provide links.
