Quiz of the day. Almost like an algebra problem

Teflon Don

I'm back baby
If tariffs are taxes

And leftists are claiming that tariffs are inflationary

Then wouldn't it stand to reason that taxes are inflationary?

And if taxes are inflationary, then wouldn't leftists supporting higher taxes also be supporting higher inflation.

There is no partial credit and I do not grade on a curve.

It is not "almost like an algebra problem", it is a logic problem. And you have made a logic mistake.

If all dogs are mammals, and cats are mammals, then wouldn't it stand to reason all cats are dogs? Can you see the logic mistake you have made?

If you want to try to prove that taxes are inflationary, you may or may not have a point. But your attempt to use logic has failed miserably.

With sales and consumption taxes, yes; with business income and capital gains, no. AS I've said before, no business sells anything at the lowest price they can, they sell for what their market will pay, and there is a lot of room for absorbing tariffs for goods made in labor racketeering shitholes and dumped here in the States and Europe. Most companies didn't off-shore because they were going broke, they off-shored because thug regimes offered cheap labor and taxpayers subsidized the moves, and the tax codes made it more profitable, is all. Those Mexican maquilas were made possible by USAID building power plants, roads, sewers, etc. for them.

Another plus for Trump:

CNN has reached out to the White House and USAID for comment. Trump himself affirmed his disdain for the agency and its mission of providing foreign aid during a question-and-answer session with reporters late Monday.

“It’s been run by a bunch of radical lunatics, and we’re getting them out, and then we’ll make a decision” on its future, he told reporters at Joint Base Andrews.

USAID workers were emailed shortly after midnight that they should not come into their Washington office, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

USAID, stealing food off American workers' tables since 1961.
