Public Private Partnership: Nightmare scenario

Sammy Jankis

Was it me?
Public Private Partnership.

The fascist talking heads on the idea box this week drew a sigh of relief as there was some indication that shareholders would not be wiped out in the case of massive injections of taxpayer cash. Of course the market soars on the news of more fascism in the works.

In the case of massive injections of taxpayer capital, original shareholders should be wiped out. Period. Otherwise they become a small number of oligarchic shareholders who are enrichened off the full faith and credit of the american government, but who are awarded above and beyond the regular citizen, who owns anything only as an abstract idea.

It's not SOCIALISM if the shareholders are wiped out; it's FASCISM if they aren't.

You do know that it hasn't had a very good effect on the market, right?

I mentioned that. The markets always soar on news of more fascism. The markets also prefer when consumers spend themselves into endless debt. The market doesn't always measure sensible items.
