The whole point of having an economy is to sustain the inhabitants of a nation.

Outsourcing the jobs of workers for the short term profit of the corporations defeats the purpose of having a sound economy that works for all americans.

Even I have been calling for some sort of protectionism... At least balancing trade.

Obama even suggested it(protectionism) until he had a talk with his masters and then he changed his tune.

Listen. I am for globalization. It will be the end of wars. Though I agree at the same time, I dont want the globe to be run by the current elites or we will certainly be looking at slavery.

Globalization is not a race to the bottom. Many people that lived in poverty are now living comfortable lives. Yes at the expense of American jobs. Though it doesn't have to be that way. It is the lopsided trade deficit that is to blame.

If China were to build their economy large enough to the point where they would start importing North American exports? That would be great, but when China is stealing jobs from the very people they are selling to? It wont work out.

Maybe since China has 4 times the population of the USA? They can build a monster empire using money made out of thin air(like America) and a 40 trillion dollar deficit.

After all? Is debt included in the calculation of ones GDP and thus currency?

To a degree. I think you are correct. They have the technology and the resources to feed, cloth and house every single person on the earth, but then they wont have the poor to exploit. Its all a scam for them to control all the global resources so they will control the world.

Right now they are buying up land and control most of the agriculture. Now they are manufacturing those genetically modified seeds that produce seedless produce so you have to keep buying seeds from them to plant every year.

Once they control all the food sources, they will control the people.

You'd think with all the technology they have, prices of food would be going down but I have seen increases at the supermarket world wide(about 3x a year). Apparently due to inflation. In some countries they have to throw away food or it sits on a shelf because people can't afford to buy it.

There is definitely something wrong with the global system.
