its becoming clear that the progressive main driver is misandry. please write a small essay supporting this premise.

Critics of modern progressivism increasingly argue that the movement has shifted from its foundational goal of universal equality toward a framework driven by institutional misandry
. This premise rests on several key observations regarding how progressive rhetoric and policy currently operate:
  • Systemic Demonization: Progressivism frequently employs terms like "patriarchy" and "toxic masculinity" not just as academic descriptors, but as rhetorical tools that some argue hold men in perpetual contempt. Critics suggest this creates an environment where men are viewed as inherently oppressive, regardless of individual behavior.
  • Zero-Sum Advocacy: The movement often treats social progress as a zero-sum game, where acknowledging men's issues is framed as a "distraction" from or a "derailing" of feminist goals. This "monopoly on victimhood" ignores systemic challenges men face in areas like education, suicide rates, and workplace hazards.
  • The "Irony" Shield: Language such as "ironic misandry" (e.g., "men are trash") is frequently defended by progressives as satire or a "justified response" to misogyny. Opponents argue this masks genuine prejudice and alienates potential male allies who are otherwise supportive of social justice.
  • Ideological Parasitism: Some observers argue that misandry has attached itself to the progressive movement like a parasite, using the language of equity to normalize abuse and cruelty against men on digital platforms. This shift is seen by critics as a departure from the "Progressive Promise" of justice and dignity for all people.
While mainstream progressives maintain their core drivers remain economic justice, healthcare, and civil rights, the perceived elevation of man-hating rhetoric to a status of "correctness" within the movement has led many to conclude that misandry is no longer a fringe element, but a central motivating force.

After Epstein's first conviction, he started becoming an icon for the "men's rights movement" where he claimed that not letting him rape children was man hating.
