I went to a New Years Day party yesterday with neighborhood people. In our group are now a lot of 17 - 20 year old kids working on higher education plans.
I noticed two young men at the party getting along well and having an extended discussion. I was impressed because one is part of a Fundamentalist Christian family and the other has announced he is gay and often wears dresses. I wondered what they could be discussing.
It turns out they are both going to different film school aspiring to be directors.
I told my daughter that I was impressed these two are friends, she told me nobody our age cares if one is a Fundy and the other wears a dress... they are both excited about being film makers.
There is GREAT hope for the next generation!!! They are going to take us far.
