Prince ‘Worked 154 Hours Straight’ With No Sleep Before Death

Prince was famous for his remorseless work ethic. His brother-in-law has now said he worked for six days straight before his death, prompting speculation that exhaustion contributed to his death.

Prince reportedly worked for 154 hours without sleep in the days leading up to his death in an elevator at his Paisley Park estate.

I didn't think that was possible. Well, without illegal stimulants. I don't know how he did it if he wasn't on drugs. But Prince was definitely not like us mere mortals.

It would seem implausible and would definitely result in some untoward physical ailments.

Tragic story

I remember Keith Richards saying that he stayed up for 3 days straight, and even that seems kind of impossible.

I can't imagine this is true.

Some people I know who are very successful have a huge biological advantage in that they can work 20 hours a day, take 3 to 4 hours sleep and are good for another 20 or so hours and they can do that indefinitely. I never several people who were high honor students in graduate school who had that ability.

Not me...I gotta have at least 7 to 8 hours a sleep a day. Nor can I work 16 hours a day 7 days a week without burning out. People who are born with this ability certainly have an advantage in life.

I've done that. Go to any major Medical School and you'll see that's a common place. About once every week or two you have a major exam coming up where you work two to three days without sleep getting prepared for.
