Amy Seiber, 32, was canned from her job flipping burgers at the Lovejoy restaurant and arrested after she topped a sandwich Nov. 1 with a half-smoked marijuana cigarette, cops say.
The dopey employee told cops she was smoking on the job at the eatery, about 25 miles south of Atlanta, when she “misplaced” the joint on top of the cheeseburger, TMZ reports.
A patron got more than she bargained for when she took a bite and got a heavy whiff of weed. She opened the bun and found the sticky herb rolled in a blunt the size of an index finger.
The customer called the cops, who visited the Wendy’s and popped Seiber on a marijuana possession charge.
The restaurant quickly dumped the dope and offered the patron, who was hospitalized with food poisoning-like symptoms, a $50 gift certificate and payment of her medical bills, according to TMZ.
“Obviously the employee broke the rules and did not follow proper food handling steps,” Wendy’s said in a statement to the gossip site. “We are deeply sorry that this incident occurred.”
