President Barack Obama authorized the military to carry out rescue operations for the American sea captain being held by Somali pirates.

Yes but it was US Navy SEALS that freed him. Kings no longer lead their troops into battle and so can take no real credit for their success.

true, but with the velocity he puts on the ball it would take a week and a half to hit anyone.
The velocity he finally used to sign the order to send in the SEALs was about the same. So long as he acted faster than he can get the word echoing in his head out of his mouth, we'd be all right....

amazing that no one has mentioned his problem with stuttering....

I think we should post the signs so as to clear the air about why he relies so much on teleprompters.
That's a trick they use when working with a stuttering child. A child who stutters will often not stutter when reading aloud. When somebody is nervous or under pressure they will often rely on what worked in the past.

Another trick is to slow down speaking, using either fill words like "um" or "uh" and specific set phrases they fall back to while the echo recedes, or maybe a machine gun version of uh.... This helps with people trying to finish their sentences for them, because they don't want to interrupt, and allows them time to be able to "hear" the word in their head without echo, thus forestalling the stutter.

Another trick, one that I don't know if it applies to Obama, is to "sing" the phrase or sentence, because singing can often stop it as well.

One last one would be to "act" the scene, pretending to be somebody else can also forestall a bout of stuttering.

If you see the video, its really mostly selective clips of him trying to prevent people from interupting him.

The video has nothing to do with what I have stated.

The methods I listed are reflected in speech therapy all over the land for stutterers.
