Yesterday after Mitch McConnell had what seemed like some sort of medical incident, President Biden called him to make sure he was doing well.

Biden and McConnell are from opposite ends of the political spectrum. They have been going at each other politically for decades.

But today it was one human being caring about the well being of another human being.

It’s the way we should all act toward one another.

It was a political show, Biden probably can't wait for McConnell to die.

Presidents are expected to show empathy, they are diplomats whether they actually care or not.

That's all this was.

Maybe but it is the way good people show respect and decency toward each other. It’s a great example for our children and culture.

Did he publicize that? It's very nice that he called but kind of interesting that he had to make sure that everyone knew...

I have no idea where the story came from, interesting how you jumped from asking if he publicized it, to the next sentence where you jumped to… “He has to make sure that everyone knew”.

This is the problem with Trumppers, if you want it to be true, in your mind it is.

How did you hear about it? He got the pat on the back from you... when one of your colleagues is sick and you called to say that you hope they're going to be okay do you announce it to the office so that they can say good job Jarod? I do understand that things aren't going very well for him at the moment so I guess he needs every brownie point he can get..

Did you see the video of McConnell actually not being able to talk? Thats the person Republicans choose to lead them in the Senate. Anyone claiming Biden cant talk should first look at Mitch.

Maybe the info was leaked by McConnell's office, you are stating things as fact when you do not know the truth... Typical Trumpper.

Looks like it wasn't Biden who "publicized" the call. Oops. Another #ToxicTrollFail.

Biden, who has faced persistent concerns about his own health, asked to call McConnell, and the two men had a warm conversation with the senator sounding upbeat and appreciative of the call, said White House aides who spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss details. Wednesday’s incident was not the first time those in Biden’s orbit harbored worries about McConnell’s well being.

Later in the evening, McConnell joked with several congressional reporters about getting a call from President Biden, and responded with a zinger about the president’s recent mishap at a commencement ceremony — then repeated the zinger:

LEADER MCCONNELL: The president called to check on me. I told him I got sandbagged.

REPORTER: Oh, nice! How you feeling now, sir? How are you feeling now?

LEADER MCCONNELL: I’m fine.

REPORTER: Have you seen a doctor? Are you going to see one?

REPORTER: Any idea what happened? Well, any idea what happened?

LEADER MCCONNELL: I’m fine.

REPORTER: Dehydrated?

LEADER MCCONNELL: Gotta watch those sandbags!

REPORTER: Thank you, senator.

REPORTER: Did you talk to a doctor today?

AIDE: Folks, we’re good thank you.

The joke is a reference to Biden president tripping over a sandbag at the Air Force Academy graduation last month, which became the subject of intense attention from the White House press and the media.

This is a person who, on a nearly daily basis here, brags about what a wonderful person she is and about all the alleged "rescues" and other charitable acts she pretends to do. Yet if Biden's office releases info that he did something kind, he's making political hay out of it. Hypocrites never see themselves, do they?

It appears it came from McConnell in a press conference where he told reporters Biden called him, then he threw Biden under the bus for having tripped on a sandbag.

I do not care if you acknowledge, my point is that you, like most MAGA, state things as fact, when you have no idea if it was true.
