Tuscaloosa AL was hit by a monster tornado. My home town has been devastated. I have heard from most of my family, but still waiting to hear from some and my friends.

The pics show absolutely massive destruction. There are large buildings that are completely missing.

if you are a religious person, please pray for the victims. If you are not, just cross your fingers and send good thoughts.

I'll do both. Saw this on the news and it's a terrible tragedy. I hope your friends are safe.

It always is more effecting when somebody you know may be directly effected. I'm glad your family is okay, and will keep the people of that area in my thoughts.

I turned on the TV today, and saw the news...thought of you immediately and came here to find out how you faired! I am so glad that your family and you are safe. The devastation is just unbelievable. My thoughts for the people of Alabama and all those areas affected.

Glad to hear you and your family are okay WB, it was a terrible day in Alabama. I am south of where most of the damage happened, we have a few trees down, but never lost power or cable, but most everyone north of us got the brunt of the storms.

I have seen the pictures and was glad to find this thread and discover you are alright. Prayers are with all the people of Alabama. Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky.

I know Alabamans suffered the worst. The pictures look like Japan.

There are thousands of armed men & women mobalized to help already. Gov. Bentley had 1,600 national guard troops out the next day.

At this point, the amount that untrained people can do is somewhat limited.

You could sense the fear of the guy making the video-His "oh my God's" caused the hair on my arms to stand up... My girlfriends and I are putting together a care package to take up to WV in Tacoma for victims- Keep us updated.

Yeah, most of us are just waiting for some direction so that we know that the help we send will actually reach people in need.
