Can't say that I've that much time for him but I have even less for Clinton, maybe Bernie Saunders would have been better??

  • Rasmussen Reports poll says Trump has support of 41% of US voters
  • Former Secretary of State on the other hand has just 39% in her corner
  • It is the first time the billionaire has lead Hillary since last October
  • Results were revealed just 24 hours ahead of the Indiana primary
  • The contest, with 57 delegates at stake, is a must-win for Ted Cruz
  • Trump told supporters on Monday the Cruz campaign will be 'gone' if The Donald takes home Indiana

A new poll shows Donald Trump is ahead of Hillary Clinton for the first time in the presidential race. According to Rasmussen Reports, the billionaire has the support of 41 percent of the American voters while the former Secretary of State has just 39 percent. The results were revealed as the Republican frontrunner told Daily Mail Online's Political Editor David Martosko that Cruz should quit the race if he loses Tuesday's Indiana primary. Trump also told his supporters that the race was 'over' if his opponent fails to win the decisive vote. The latest survey results have Trump leading Clinton for the first time since last October.

can't stump the trump.

that said rasmussen is notoriously biased in republican favor.

Yes I've heard that said especially by Nate Silver, however we shall see. I think that I mainly want him to win because it will cause so many liberals to have complete mental breakdowns especially the likes of Desh, Rana, Leon and Zippy.

It's gonna be the fear and loathing campaign of all time. as to the polls, it depends on the turnout.

The polls are only good for picking up trends this far out and the trend is unsettling for Democrats. It's going to be interesting for sure.

I think Trump got a bit of a bounce from his foreign policy speech, even though most of the high dollar punditry deemed it rubbish. Which means the democrats and the establishment have lost control of the narrative.

My heart bleeds.

The bolded above is about all I have left. That's why I will likely vote for Trump in November if he is indeed the nominee. It is no longer a matter of one who supports my views or political positions. So I will be the obligatory political agitator.

It was rubbish, it was childish and simplistic. He's secret plan to rid us of ISIS, it made any thinking person laugh.

I can't believe this from you, you would put our country in the Twlight Zone just for a reaction from liberals?

Our country has lost its collective mind.

I love how there can be 10 polls saying one thing, and if a liberal cites them they whine about how we should just cancel the election and how its too far out to matter, but you get one outlier from a firm known to be wrong and they post it!

Rasmussen?

I think they should have one of those sophisticated questionnaires for all voters to determine if people vote according to the bolded (without giving away that this is what they're trying to find out), and permanently revoke the voter registration for anyone who truly votes that way.

It isn't the liberals who are going freak out anyway.

He supports single payer insurance

He supports LBGT rights

He supports isolationism

He supports job programs

He supports changing the tax system

His views are much more liberal than conservative, except for immigration and closing borders to certain segments of the population, his ideals line up more with liberals than conservatives.

I worry about about his mouth and his ego.

I worry that he won't listen to advisors or pick people with no experience, like Bush did.

I worry about the damage he could do to us internationally.

I use to think you were smarter than that.
Thanks for the reveal.

I honestly don't think the country will be any more in the Twilight Zone with Trump than with Hillary (or Bernie for that matter) or I wouldn't vote for him. I think we're pretty bad off either way if these two are the best we can put forth for our top presidential candidates.

You're right about it not just being liberals. And you're also right to be worried about all of those things.

Trump is a sick man, and represents far more of a danger to the U.S. than the average phony politician.

Honestly, I feel like this is the Iraq War all over again. A group of us knew - KNEW - in 2003 exactly what was going on, and we turned out to be 100% right. I know exactly who this guy is and what his Presidency can be like - but once again, some might have to learn the hard way.

It certainty wont make my head explode to have Trump elected. Now if Cruz or Huckleberry were elected, you might see my head explode. Trump is by far the least Conservative of the Republican field. I don't like his bullying nature and his crassness, but his politics are okay with me.

I would have thought Leaningright would have been put off by his three marriages and bragging of sexual conquests. The un-Christian nature of Trump's persona that would represent the more crass and unloving side of America.

I agree, it is the same feeling.

Trump has never held office, he is use to surrounding himself with yes men and getting his way. It is not how a Republic is handled.

Hillary has at least held office and knows that a President is not a dictator.
