Here are the standings in the Florida Republican primary according to a poll for the Florida Times-Union conducted by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research on Tuesday evening:

Newt Gingrich 41

Mitt Romney 17

Herman Cain 13

Rick Perry 7

Ron Paul 4

Michele Bachmann 3

Rick Santorum 1

Other 3

No opinion 11

The Article indicates that Gingrich is getting 50% of the Independent support.

Holy crap! The base really doesn't like Romney. I still say he ends up being the nominee, but this is something.

I think Romney could beat Obama too. I really don't see President Newt in the cards. But if that's how they want to go, it's okay with me. Only because of the courts. Otherwise at this point, what difference does it really make? Obama is a Republican as far as I'm concerned.

Man, a President Newt would be one of the great phoenix from the ashes stories in political history; it's hard to imagine.

Needless to say, a pretty sad prospect, but stranger things have happened.

No kidding, a 2 year Senator with no leadership experience got elected as President. What did we get from that.... No leadership. Imagine that.

Criticizing him for his failed efforts isn't ODS. He is our President, he is expected to LEAD. He is failing to do so. That is apparent to everyone who is not a blind apologist.

But i know... because those evil Republicans are not going to do exactly what he wants, then why should he try to negotiate? Right? Isn't that the line of crap you apologists like to use?

A lot of people are suffering from ODS. He's not gonna make a second term with numbers lower than Carter. Carter's defeat was even worse because the polling right around the election had Carter and Reagan about even. Obama is going down.
