he visited wounded U.S. service members at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Saturday, his first visit as president to the armed forces hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, outside Washington.

Accompanied by his wife, Melania, Trump awarded Army Sergeant First Class Alvaro Barrientos the Purple Heart, the medal given to members of the U.S. military wounded or killed in battle.

Cheap photo-op or not, I'm not gonna hate on the president for visiting wounded troops. Who knows, maybe it'll have the same effect the video of the Syrian kids had and it'll help him avoid getting us into needless conflict.
 
Sorry, but I don't believe it had an effect on it.... It was a lie, a lie to cloud his relationships & investigations w/ putin & get it off the front page-wagging the dog, Kabuki theater...

IMHO he cares about no one but himself, & perhaps his own family-nothing more-it's about him, his ego etc...
 
Can you imagine if Patton were CJCS today, and joined his president at a military hospital for a presidential photo-op, only to go slapping soldiers around?

The only thing that matters in this is what the wounded warriors got out of it. I'm tempted to speculate that they were more than ok with having their Commander in Chief visit them.

But it's just speculation.

yet in eight years he didn't do what Trump did in 100 days......signed into law the right of vets to go to hospitals and doctors of their choice.......

This was nothing but a photo op from a man who has the vocabulary of a sixth-grader and zero emotional intelligence.

Odd....Obama's visits to Walter Reed were wonderful and Trumps visits get ridicule....wonder where Jarod is, him being so concerned about

double standards and all......

It figures you'd cover for Kerry but then I have to remember you hide like a coward on JPP just like he was trying to do when he was ducking for cover. He simply didn't move fast enough or hide behind someone enough to keep from getting scratched.
