They're shaking down UKRAINE for dirt on BIDEN and his kid so they didn't wanna send anyone as important as PENCE. So they send PERRY. WHILE THERE, PERRY SCORES A NICE BIG FAT CONTRACT FOR HIS MAIN CONTRIBUTORS OVER THE YEARS--A 50 YEAR GAS CONTRACT.

KYIV, Ukraine — Two political supporters of U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry secured a potentially lucrative oil and gas exploration deal from the Ukrainian government soon after Perry proposed one of the men as an adviser to the country's new president.

Perry's efforts to influence Ukraine's energy policy came earlier this year, just as President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's new government was seeking military aid from the United States to defend against Russian aggression and allies of President Donald Trump were ramping up efforts to get the Ukrainians to investigate his Democratic rival Joe Biden.

Ukraine awarded the contract to Perry's supporters little more than a month after the U.S. energy secretary attended Zelenskiy's May inauguration. In a meeting during that trip, Perry handed the new president a list of people he recommended as energy advisers. One of the four names was his longtime political backer Michael Bleyzer.

A week later, Bleyzer and his partner Alex Cranberg submitted a bid to drill for oil and gas at a sprawling government-controlled site called Varvynska. They offered millions of dollars less to the Ukrainian government than their only competitor for the drilling rights, according to internal Ukrainian government documents obtained by The Associated Press. But their newly created joint venture, Ukrainian Energy, was awarded the 50-year contract because a government-appointed commission determined they had greater technical expertise and stronger financial backing, the documents show.

RICK PERRY HAD ZERO, REPEAT ZERO business facilitating discussing or introducing the 2 for a DEAL! Period. I don't give a flying fuck if they were 'giving away' their services. It was INAPPROPRIATE and depending on the details--ILLEGAL.

Let me put it to you this way! WHAT DAY WAS ZELENSKY'S inaugural? What day did Perry go and talk gas deals? What day were the UKRANIAN FUNDS RELEASED? Get back to us when those DATES are known with specificity.

Two political backers of Energy Secretary Rick Perry landed a lucrative oil and gas exploration deal from Ukraine's government shortly after Perry reportedly included one of the two men in a list of suggested potential advisers to Ukraine's new president, according to The Associated Press.

The AP reported Monday that Michael Bleyzer was among four names Perry had recommended to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Bleyzer and partner Alex Cranberg later got a contract to drill for oil and gas despite despite offering a bid that was lower than their only other competitor, the AP reported citing internal Ukrainian government documents.

The contract was awarded to Bleyzer and Cranberg because they were deemed as having better technical expertise and stronger financial backing, the AP also reported, citing the documents.

A major GOP donor, Bleyzer supported Perry's unsuccessful 2012 bid for the Republican presidential nomination. He is based in Perry's home state of Texas.

He told the AP in a statement that Perry's conversations with Ukraine's government "did not play any role in Ukrainian Energy winning its bid" in the country and added that the process “will hopefully serve as an example of how the Ukrainian energy market can be opened for new investments.”

A spokesperson for the Energy Department denied to The Hill that Perry advocated for any specific U.S. figures or business interests during his conversations with Ukraine's government...

so we arm Ukraine w/ military aid ( a lot of & high tech for a non-NATO country) and billions for "Energy Independence"
-which I never could figure out since Ukraine makes money off Russian nat. gas. transit fee.

We have a really slusshy corrupt, grants and nat. gas contracts reciprocal political kickback scheme going on

US politics and our proxy border war with Russia are all intertwined ;
Zelenskys anti-corruption good intentions other wise.

Toss in impeachment and bake until the next Uk. prosecutor is fired

You know for a short time, I had hope MEDVEDEV was his own man. Maybe Obama had some "hope" too. In Obama's case he had to at least wait to see. I had no such pressure.
