This day, more than any brings such sorrow and both honor to this nation. The thousands that died, the kids who never returned to their youth and their families, all began this day in our nations history...all to free Europe and the world. Let no man, woman or child ever forget our brave soldiers on this day and how grateful we are as a nation to celebrate their victory and mourn the loss. I salute in honor, every single person that truly loved and died for this nation and I spit on those who coward out, who dishonor the fight and who treasure the victory without one ounce of participation or courage.
I've been on the USS Arizona many times. Aside from the Auschwitz Museum, I think it is the most solemn place I have ever been. May we continue to remember what happened on this day in history and resist fascism and defend freedom.
