One person's opinion doesn't change reality. This deal is good news, but the details remain to be worked out and enacted.

IMO, it's a good step forward and a long time in coming.

To the contrary, it's a scurrilous attempt to assist Trump/Netanyahu in undermining international law and the UN members Charter. It also softens the blow to Trump/Netanyahu of the failure of their internationally-condemned annexation horror. What we don't know is what the UAE have been paid/promised by Trump/Netanyahu for their treachery towards their Arab brothers and sisters. Wikileaks- where are you ?

Its true it wont change much. Its just putting into paper what has already been happening on the ground. It still forces people to acknowledge that yes the Jews have allied with one of the two major sunni factions.
 
btw just so everyone understands the headlines. This peacedeal doesnt change much because the advent of Trump has already set up the Sunni - Jew alliance that this represents. But credit definetly goes to Trump as this was not achievable under Obama as he tried playing both sides against each other as opposed to fully supporting the ones closest to us.

It's unsurprising that the UAE made this step. They are one of the smallest, but most advanced Arab states in the ME. Dubai is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world and the UAE is a well connected power within OPEC and the UN. It's natural that they would lead the less advanced Arab states.

so if Trump loses the election? then this "Sunni-Jew" alliance as you so racially put it -what happens to that?
does it survive post -Trump?

Hopefully Trump gets re-elected and then we can start to "domino effect" the rest of the Gulf States.
Meanwhile this means they formally recognize each other - and that survives even a Biden POTUS
which has been shown to favor the Shi'a states -or degrade the KSA security due to "humanitarian concerns"
