Not enough info given in the article to comment on but a lot of questions raised in my mind.

What's her husband's salary? What's her salary? Why are they not scraping together enough money to at least put the baby on husband's policy?

There's way more going on here that we're not privy to.

Oh, for sure there is more going on here that we're not privy to. However, that statement means absolutely nothing.

I am really suspect on this one, two incomes and they can't afford insurance, when one is employer provided?

my husband and I went without cable and other things when our children were young to supply insurance for them, until our incomes were sufficient to supply the "extras"

I think this woman may need credit counseling!

I not only read the article I googled a few more articles to see if they went into more detail. Zero, zilch, nada.

So maybe you can point out the answers to these questions since I "missed" them (ha ha).
