In a Capitol Hill speech billed as a repudiation of the tone of the 2016 election, House Speaker Paul Ryan apologized for his own past rhetoric about poor people of color.
“There was a time when I would talk about a difference between ‘makers’ and ‘takers’ in our country, referring to people who accepted government benefits,” he said. “But as I spent more time listening, and really learning the root causes of poverty, I realized I was wrong. ‘

Of course Think Progress is going to try and spin it as if he was speaking specifically about people of color when he made the Makers and Takers comment instead of just poor people in general.

People will shrug this off and say I am being dramatic, but at the core, takers are thieves. They are the exact moral equivalent of a thief. Parasites. They exist to actually cause harm and distress. They exist for ruin. If they have no moral obligation to stealing property, infringing on the autonomy of another, then as far as I am concerned, they have forfeited their right to live.

We have grown accustomed to this fucked up way of thinking, but they are literally moral criminals. They mean actual harm. They should be killed imo. If a trailer trash taker is killed, I am glad. I always will be glad. FUCK EM
