Pandemic preparedness bill moves ahead; funding still needed

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Senate committee has approved a bipartisan blueprint to overhaul the nation’s public health system, applying the lessons of COVID-19 to future outbreaks through a new chain of command, a stronger medical supply chain, and clearer crisis communications.

The Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee approved the PREVENT Pandemics Act by a vote of 20-2 Tuesday.

Here's where things got fucked up, people actually listened to Phony Tony.

From the beginning we knew that the people most at risk for problems associated with covid were the old fat and sick. But what did they do? They shut down whole fucking country. Then a supposed vaccine came out that the left hated until they loved it, which was oddly related to the time before and after trump's presidency. Then two years later I read a study that says even when fuy vaccinated the people most at risk for complications including death from covid are the old fat and sick. Exactly what we knew on day fucking one and the country is fucked. WTF back at square one.
