Why would this be a white grievance? The rec center is in a black neighborhood. And you really think it’ll be closed for four months?
This will be permanent, guaranteed.

This is just wrong...I hope they fight to reopen it until it is...I thought the goal was to get these rec center open 24/7 so kids and young adults...or anyone...have a place to get off the streets...
 
The governor is pledging that all programs find a temporary home and funds will be provided for long awaited updates to the complex in the spring once the temporary shelter is closed. Seventy-five migrants were expected to arrive on Wednesday with more in the next couple of days.

They're putting illegals in schools, as well...
It would be kind of difficult to house all the programs they have available in the rec centers in schools these days...
Most only have one basketball court... And not a lot of extra classroom space...i don't know of a single school with a boxing ring. I think you get the picture...;)

Every school has a large gymnasium.
