OUT of Middle East, Drill Baby Drill, forget about Israel

Lets start drilling more on Government land, use solar power, wind power, wave power, natural gas, and that fracking method used in North Dakota, to bring our energy reserves to a point where we can get out of the Middle East all together. You Lib environmentalist cannot have it both ways, get out of the middle East oil supplying Countries yet not increase our own energy Natural resources.

I get the impression that there are people in the USA who will always want US there, using the need for oil excuse, because we are then able to defend Israel, and I say let the American Jews go over there to defend Israel first, not our boys. We could help the Jews with supplies, etc, and I do not want to hear the racist bullsheet, I am calling it like it is and you peoples know that I am Right. So let's hear it......

I agree with you. Lets start using a whole lot of the clean energy though, as I like clean air and water. Just call me selfish. but yes, I am pretty much tired of sending money to people who ahte me every time I fill up my car.

Did anyone watch the Dubai attempt to break the fireworks(quantity) record held by Kuwait? I never seen anything so rediculous, it went on for a half hour nonstop, using our oil money.

Israel has no oil resources, so they are basically on their own as far as an economy is doing. They have great weapons technology, and I used to know a Jewish girl(real good if you know what I mean)) who way back told me how everyone in Israel must serve in the Military, men and women. At that time, she had fired the Galil combat rifle and the Uzzi sub-machine gun, she also said that everyone could have ready access to guns, and could carry an Uzzi around especially if they were out in the countryside living on a Kibbutz, a farm where a group of people work together and share the wealth, basically Socialism. Because Israel has no oil, the Arab Countries surrounding them have the belief that Israel, with the support of US, will try to take over nearby lands with the oil, and that is the major problems with the Middle East. The Arabs and Jews are both Semites who have lived together for thousands of years. Israel needs to recognize the State of Palistine, and give back the Land that they took during earlier confrontations just like we did after WW2. You people know that I am Right, but for some reason, I get the feeling that some of you are "too" pro Israel and do not agree with me?

We can't abandon our ally. Our meddling in the ME doesn't help them, and neither does our economic support of the Muslim countries by not exploiting our own energy reserves.

I actually agree with you 100%, but Israel has to give back the land to Palistine and recognize the Palistinian State. Also, these other ME Countries need to recognize Israel's right to exist, to be there and to leave Israel alone, sounds good doesn't it? The Palistinian land issue would go a long way to healing the ill-feelings between all of them. The majority of Israelis agree with me, look it up. Nettanyahu is a hawk because he knows that he has the US in his back pocket Politcally....all true...but not necessarily President Obama, who is Right on this issue.

Obviously that's not going to happen, since Israel is a product of a treaty that ended WW2. One could argue as well that the Jews were there since biblical times. I would also argue that the Palestinians were never "a People" and have never built the infrastructure that is required of any civilization beyond a nomadic.

But all this historical arguments should be set aside. To the victor goes the spoils; that how whites lay claim to the US, or should we give it back to the indigenous peoples?

Before WW2 Hitler put about 5000 Jews on a ship to the US and President Roosevelt turned them down for asylum, all true. Also true was that no other Country wanted to help them out of Germany, so that Ship turned around and went back to Germany and those Jews were eventually killed by the Nazis, this is why Israel eventually became a Country, that is after David Ben-Gurion and the one eyed dude, fought the British for independance. Without looking it up, I believe that Israel was formed in 1947?

1947, yes, for modern Israel. There were still Jews there since biblical times, as well as nomadic peoples, which only recently have been put into a political group called "Palestinians".

Me? What the Israelis should give back, in my opinion, is 'Israel' They have no right to a square inch of it. We, here, are Indo-Europeans: that is why we have always got on so well with the Spaniards, French and Germans! :)

Rubbish - there have sometimes been some Jews who went to die in holy places, as with Christians, but the Palestinians are the native people, the descendants of the Old Testament inhabitants, as you know.

It doesn't matter. As I stated earlier, to the victor goes the spoils. They can cry about it forever, but it doesn't change the outcome.

What has your big business's preference for enslaved populations got to do with whether the Nazis occupying Palestine survive?
