april 19 2017 Right-wing sex creep Bill O’Reilly shook hands with the Pope Wednesday while on vacation at the Vatican. Too bad the Holy Father didn’t have time to hear his confession: “Bless me, father, for I have sinned…”

A few hours later, in one of those ironies too fake for fiction, Fox News Channel (through 21st Century Fox) fired O’Reilly amid a growing sexual harassment scandal. Perhaps Rupert Murdoch and his sons—who run Fox—can ghost-write O’Reilly’s next book: “Killing O’Reilly’s Career.”

At least O’Reilly still has friends in other high places.
“He’s a person I know well, he’s a good person,” amateur President Donald Trump said earlier this month of O’Reilly. “I don’t think Bill did anything wrong.”

Trump spoke in defense of his pal after revelations by the New York Times that five women had settled with either Fox or O’Reilly for a combined $13 million after sexual harassment allegations against O’Reilly in the 20-plus years that O’Reilly has hosted The O’Reilly Factor.

Although I am a fan of Bill O, his no spin approach has been our only major outlet for the truth, especially the last decade.
His schtick has run it's course.
New blood, and I like Rupert Murdochs style with replacing it in the short term with "The Five", a snappy collection of personalities sure to garner an equal audience.
I suspect eventually a single host will emerge for the prime time slot.

Either way FOX will continue to be Americas NEWS source, an alternate to the liberal spin machine over at CNN.
People by and large want the news, not the partisan BS that come out of the "main stream" media outlets

Bill is getting old and i think Fox was looking for an excuse to can him. Probably paid the bimbos to make these silly accusations.
 
Settling out of court either means that the accused does not want a trial by jury (long term public scrutiny) or the accuser cannot afford the lawyers for a lengthy trial....or both.

In any event, that chowder headed bigot is done! A day late and a dollar short, but I'll take it!
