feb 11 2021 The Oregon Department of Education (ODE) recently encouraged teachers to register for training that encourages "ethnomathematics" and argues, among other things, that White supremacy manifests itself in the focus on finding the right answer.

An ODE newsletter sent last week advertises a Feb. 21 "Pathway to Math Equity Micro-Course," which is designed for middle school teachers to make use of a toolkit for "dismantling racism in mathematics." The event website identifies the event as a partnership between California's San Mateo County Office of Education, The Education Trust-West and others.

Part of the toolkit includes a list of ways "white supremacy culture" allegedly "infiltrates math classrooms." Those include "the focus is on getting the 'right' answer," students being "required to 'show their work,'" and other alleged manifestations.

In one section of the "Dismantling Racism" workbook, the argument is made that "only white people can be racist in our society, because only white people as a group have that power." Another section seems to justify anti-cop sentiments.

People like to say "facts don't care about your feelings," but, the truth is that math does not give a fuck if people call it racist.
 
So if I understand this correctly the liberals are not trying to make blacks better at math but making math standards easier so they can raise their scores while also blaming their poor math skills on white people.

Hmmm... Math is racist? One of the requirements to be successful in my chosen profession was to be rather proficient in math. No wonder a few of the idiots in the "clown car" called me a racist...

Im sorry but this kind of posting needs to be called out. We dont have a black problem, or White problem, or Hispanic,...ect ect. We have an education problem. And we REALLY have a societal problem. Our kids, of all races need to be educated,.....NOT indoctrinated.

those guidelines are stupid and ignorant. not necessarily in that order. that said, every black person in this country is smarter than your sick racist bitch ass. you are just a sick loser, crying about black people because you feel so inferior to them. you make up goofy shit about their IQs, when you cannot even spell IQ. i have squeezed out farts with higher IQs than you, shit stain.

for once, you make some sense. kudos. Except i do not believe anyone is being indoctrinated today more than in the past. what do you call kids in the south being taught the Civil War was about states rights and barely even mentioning slavery? or schools teaching kids to recite the pledge of allegiance before they even know what the words mean!! all education is indoctrination in some ways, if it does not allow and encourage independent thought.
