OK, picture the oil majors put a trillion dollars in to get oil out in 2035, five years after peak oil. They would probably need $80+ prices per barrel to get a profit. And they would desperately need a full legal system to make it work. Is trump setting up an occupation legal system that will translate into a post-occupation system? No, he does not even have the occupation yet.

Seriously, if the majors invested in this, it would almost certainly bankrupt them.
