One Boston Cop Dead, One More To Go (For STY)

For all the fun of poking the cop hater.

This man died doing his job and his family and friends are grieving, possibly a show of respect for the people who put their lives on the line. Would you go to the funerals of dead soldiers and cheer?

In the event you are talking to us, I can only speak for myself....No, I wouldn't...but I suspect you already know that about the majority of the posters on this board....but since I'm new here, I thought I'd let you know.

It's rhetorical since the only people who do that sort of thing are the Westboro Baptists who have already earned themselves a special place in hell.

My point is that this man gave his life for the community and there are better ways to mock STY than to use this man's death.

Oh, believe me....I respect that this man died in the line of duty, I respect the dangerous job that cops have....not just cops, but corrections officers and even highway workers....who die in the line of duty more than the previous two combined.

Corrections officers have it rough, they get paid less, they have to work in an environment where everybody hates them and they're generally outnumbered 100 to 1 or more by said inmates. Highway workers have a dangerous job too, I remember the guy who was chaining a woman's car and she took off, rolled right over him and dragged him for miles... killed him. God rest.

Anyway, I don't think there's anyone on this site who is terribly anti-military, so protesting funerals would curry no favour here. Some of the most anti-establishment rightists are vets, and then on the far left, you have guys like BAC who is the proud father of a soldier who has served in the recent campaigns.

Don't forget those on the left who served too.... not saying you left us out on purpose...but politics doesn't equal patriotism or lack thereof.
 
Most of the leftists on this site who are vets are moderate, often blue-collar labour types, such as yourself or Maineman. I'm talking about fringe leftists and rightists who are fanatical in their outlook, such as BAC and STY.

We don't execute people quite as freely as texas, I believe she got felony manslaughter and is currently doing time. I personally think she should have been executed, but then I'm a believer in personal accountability and preventive punishment.

I wouldn't call BAC "Fringe". He's really just one of the few true liberals on the board but his beliefs are hardly fringe like STY. Nor is he a one issue fanatic like STY.
