I post this to let you hash it around. I am a concealed carry permit holder and a teacher but must say that I am torn here. And I certainly wouldn't have put up a sign. Is the worst happens I would prefer the "shoot [the intruder] first, ask questions later" approach. Anyway, have at it

The Okay Public Schools Board of Education passed an “Armed School Employees” policy in August. On Monday, the district publicized that policy with signage in front of the school.

I actually like the signs. I'd rather the intruder see it and have second thoughts about it than to break in and then realize they are armed afterwards. The sign atleast is a deterrent and a way to say to criminals "this is not a school to mess with". If the sign wasn't there and a criminal assumed it was gun free and broke in and killed someone before being shot himself then that wouldnt be very good either in my opinion.

Is that almost like a Beware Of Dog sign? I like it. Hopefully someone who might want to cause trouble can read and not do it at your school
