“She has been a catalytic leader,” Benson said. “We’re seeing more grassroots action, and she’s creating a movement where young people are pushing communities, cities, states and corporations and saying, ‘we’re not going to wait.’”

I believe the Ten Commandments prohibition against lying applies whether words leave one's mouth, or are typed on a keyboard.

The lower life forms who claim Greta is an abused child cunningly manipulated by Kenyan-Marxist puppet masters are fully aware they are willfully lying.

I have yet to hear a plausible explanation from any rightwinger why it is necessary to lie on a message board, to people they have never met, and about a teenager from Sweden they know virtually nothing about.

If I chose to be a Climate Denier, I could easily mount a technically plausible argument without having to stoop to lying, character defamation, and libel.

Does lying come to some posters that easily??

I have already given the technically plausible argument. The 'greenhouse effect' is not possible. No gas or vapor has the capability to warm the Earth using the IR emitted from Earth's surface.

Young adults and teenagers have always been agents for change, as far as I can tell.

Young adults stopped the Vietnam War, young adults ended Jim Crow in the south, and I am pretty sure it was young adults who played the instrumental role in women's suffrage, the environmental movements of the 1970s, and gay civil rights.

A treaty stopped the Vietnam War, not young people. Jim Crow laws were ended by Republicans. The Democrats tried to stop it. You don't get to claim women's suffrage movement. The women of all ages of that time do. Republicans brought the amendment forward and got it ratified. The Democrats tried to stop it. A conservative started Greenpeace. He left it when it got hijacked by liberals, wanting to push their socialist agenda. In your face sexual preference is not civil rights.

^^ As per usual, the Climate Denial Cabal cannot produce a body of reputable peer reviewed scientific literature, published over the past three decades, that either supports their relentless Denial, nor refutes the worldwide scientific consensus on climate in any credible way.

The 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics, which you deny. The Stefan-Boltzmann law, which you deny.
No gas or vapor is capable of warming the Earth using IR emitted from the Earth's surface.
* You can't create energy out of nothing.
* You can't heat a warmer surface using a colder gas.
* You can't trap heat.
* You can't trap light.
* You can't reduce the radiance of Earth and increase it's temperature at the same time.

Absent being able to make a plausible and supportable scientific argument, they are reduced to howling about how a Swedish teenage girl is mentally ill and being used as an unwitting pawn by nefarious climate scientists intent on hogging more grant money.

I just made a scientific argument. Deal with it. Explain how the 'greenhouse effect' works without violating the 1st or 2nd laws of thermodynamics or the Stefan-Boltzmann law. Climate 'scientists' deny science and mathematics.

Get over yourself, Earl. Kids are more worried about the environment than even some of us. They are the ones that will inherit it after all. There are plenty of stories of kids trying to make a difference in this bizarro country. Some even make great sacrifices like giving up allowance to fund things. They follow their hearts and not their egos like some. The only thing upsetting is that kids are having to pick up slack from these sad creatures that are supposedly adults.

Kids have also been relentlessly propagandized and indoctrinated into Church of Global Warming and Church of Green beliefs. The intent is clear. It is to create a movement similar to the Hitler Youth.

Socialism yet again.

I maintain that it is unequivocal that the Vietnam War protests played an instrumental role in turning public opinion against that war, and forcing politicians to scale back, and ultimately abandon the effort to involve ourselves in what amounted to a civil war in southeast Asia.

Nope. A treaty ended that war. All you losers did was condemn those who fought it, just like you condemn anyone that takes a stand against socialism.

And I remain convinced that young adults will be catalysts in mobilizing world opinion to address climate change, even in the face of opposition from the Old White Men who constitute the last dead enders leading the Climate Denial Cabal.
