Obama's First Address from Oval Office... and no thread about it?

Topspin, you act like BP never said it would voluntarily pay for damages above the $75m cap. They announced this early on, I guess you were busy giving Olbermann a rectal exam?

LOL... Obama "MADE" them pay what they had already committed to pay a month ago.... he is SO tough! And, it wasn't good enough that BP was voluntarily going to do this on their own, the GOVERNMENT needed to step in and take control of their money, because, obviously, THE GOVERNMENT is better suited at spending other people's money and deciding who gets what, based on things like campaign contributions and such... we in the private sector don't possess enough brain power to understand, and shouldn't worry our pretty little heads about such things... just KNOW that Obama's Government is there, with their boots on the neck of BP, forcing them to do what they already volunteered to do, and making sure they do it!

Your too business illiterate Dixie to understand 75 million cap in the law. Redneck cousin fucker.

so did exxon, Alaskans are waiting 20years later.

I won't in the oil industry, only republican right wing hacks believe an oil company promise to pay. ie See Valdez as the only similar example.
