CAPA teacher's street attack caught by surveillance cameras
PITTSBURGH - Police are looking for the attacker who injured a teacher from the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts on a downtown street.
City police said the attack on James Addlespurger, 50, in an alley off Liberty Avenue on Thursday afternoon was captured by surveillance cameras.
The video shows Addlespurger walking by a group of black teenagers when one of the teens abruptly hits him.
Addlespurger falls and hits his head on the curb as the teens walk away.
Addlespurger teaches 10th and 12th grade English at CAPA, police said. He was recovering from the attack at home.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Pittsburgh police at 412-323-7800.
