Nearly two years after putting Obama in the White House, one-quarter of those who voted for the Democrat are defecting to the GOP or considering voting against the party in power this fall. Just half of them say they definitely will show up Nov. 2, according to an Associated Press-Knowledge Networks poll released two weeks before Obama's first midterm elections.

:) Not to worry. From the same article:

"Yet in a reflection of broad dissatisfaction with politics, just as many people who backed Republican presidential nominee John McCain are either supporting Democrats now or still considering how to vote."

On the other hand, when pussies like you do nothing, who cares?

This is a tough election cycle. We get to choose between one group that hasn't done enough to get us out of a shit hole (Democrats) or we can vote for the people who got us neck deep into the shit hole in the first place (Repubs). I all ready voted. Of the 21 offices up for grabs on my absentee ballet I voted for 15 Dems and 6 Repubs. I'm reasonably sure that none of the Repubs I voted for are nearly conservative enough. LOL

While the Reps certainly were driving the car when it went into the ditch, the Dems were in the passenger seat asking them if they wanted another shot of whiskey. Both parties put us in this ditch and neither is doing what is necessary to get us out.

I can't really disagree with that.

This is why the "money is speech" crowd is so wrong. I have no doubt that every new legislator who will head to DC in January will be determined to "change things" and pass the laws they feel will get America "back on track." Within 6 months to a year, they'll realize how much they need corporate money and support to get re-elected, and every idealistic intention they had will be gone.

"What is necessary to get us out" basically flies in the face of what the corporations, unions & military wants, so it isn't what we'll get, anytime soon.
